Well that was absolutely brutal to watch. I don't care what anyone says about Boston, being a sports fan has been anything but easy. Yeah everyone talks about all the championships but man not one of them has been easy. They are all stressful as hell. I feel like I am going to be dead by the time I am 30 from all the stress Boston sports has done to my body.
Yeah the Celtics got bumped from the playoffs last night. Playing like absolute shit and looking like they wanted to go home. The Heat didn't beat the Celtics. The Celtics beat themselves.
Plain and simple. They played like shit so they went home. They couldn't score they couldn't play defense. They couldn't do anything. It was brutal to watch. The Heat missed plenty of shots and the Celtics had their chances to get back in it and run away with it but they never could for some reason. Honestly I am amazed the series went 6 games. It should've been over in 4. I hate to be the guy to blame the refs but man did they bone the Celtics too. It wasn't the deciding factor by any means but it didn't help. Theis must be on the NBA refs most hated list or something because that man gets so many bad calls on him.
I don't know why Kanter wasn't out there more to be honest. Of course I trust Brad Stevens more than myself, the man is getting paid millions and I make pennies in comparison but man Kanter played all regular season. Then once playoffs come he is nonexistent. I get it, he blows at defense but whoever we had out there weren't much better. Bam Adebayo isn't even that good and the Celtics made him look like Shaq. Okay maybe a bit of a stretch but still. The limited time Kanter was out there he was involved and he was scoring. He made them respect the down low game and opened others up. They weren't playing good defense in the first place so might as well get offense out of it.
Also the Heat are going to get their ass handed to them in the finals by Lebron and AD. Yeah say what you want, the Heat know Lebron best, bla bla bla. Lebron is the best player in the world and has been. If teams were going to figure him out by now. The Heat beat a very overrated team in the Bucks. Everyone knows the Bucks look good until the playoffs and then they get booted first or second round every year. They barely beat a Celtics team who couldn't do anything right. I bet my house on the Celtics and I am about to bet my car and life savings on the Lakers. It's destiny.
All that being said the Celtics have nothing to hang their hats on. They are incredibly young and can build off of this. 2 years ago everyone was saying blow up the whole team and now they made the Eastern Conference Finals. I think the Celtics just need a big man to help open up the floor more. That and another year of playing together will go a long way. They battled a lot this year, with adding Kemba and Hayward being injured. It wasn't a walk in the park. Focus on next year and let this be apart of the story not the downfall.
