The miami heat are overrated. The celtics are just blowing it. Plain and simple. They have been up 14 in the 4th and 17 at the half to blow both leads and lose to the heat in the final minutes. Absolutely brutal to watch.
BUT we aren't done yet. This is why it's a best of 7 games series. If you have paid attention to any Boston sport over the past couple decades you will know it isn't over until the fat lady sings. As a wise man once told me theres plenty of game left to be played. Well maybe it was me who said that but I think I'm pretty wise. Boston was down 0-2 to the raptors and came back to beat them in 7 games. I personally think the raptors are much better than this heat team. The heat have about 3 players you need to deal with and outside of that it isn't very tough. Raptors are a nightmare to guard are much better.
Alright so what does Boston need to do to beat the heat you ask?
First off stop turning the fuckin ball over. Excuse my french but how many turnovers did Boston have? 30? 40? Surprised they didn't set the record to be honest. They need to hire bill from the patriots to teach them how to secure the rock and take care of the basketball. Too many careless passes and sloppy dribbling. The heat defense isn't anything crazy, they shouldn't be able to shut us down and make the celtics look like this. You have to want it. Go out there and compete.
Second we need a closer. Someone needs to hit some shots in the fourth. Absolutely brutal watching brick after brick go up and come away with no points. Jaylen had two clutch 3 balls late and almost was 3 for 3 late when he missed the easiest one. Someone needs to hit the big shots, I don't care who it is but someone has to step up late. Everyone has been super hit or miss. We need our own jimmy butler. Someone who can turn it on in the final couple minutes and just not miss. Easier said than done but we need to make baskets going down the stretch. In games one and two if we made baskets down the stretch we win both games.
Lastly Marcus Smart was reportedly fired up after the loss and was reported screaming and swearing. Good we need someone like this who holds people accountable and lights a fire under their ass. Brad Stevens isn't always going to do that. Marcus smart has been the most underrated celtics player maybe ever and what he brings night in and night out is irreplaceable. Hopefully he rally's the troops and gets them ready for game 3
The celtics fixed their problems from game one but created new ones in game two. Maybe third times the charm. But remember they've been in this spot last round and no one was worried then. Celtics in 6 book it. Celtics Lakers finals is what the people want. Oh celtics are +250 for the series. Do what you want with that information but I already took out a second mortgage for this one.
