Down, but not out

With the conclusion of week one, its time for me to take a step back, and look at just how poorly i did in just about every aspect of football Sunday. From my Pick em', to my sportsbook all the way to my Fanduel Lineup, week 1 just wasn't my week. I was able to lie to myself and say that, "There was no preseason, how was i supposed to know THE EAGLES WOULD BLOW IT." Well folks, they did, and i'm willing to bet that i'm not the only one they screwed. The only positive thing that happened on Sunday was that I beat Jarry in fantasy. Not much of an accomplishment, but its something.

With that being said, lets talk week 2. I'm man enough to admit that my week 1 line up was dog shit. That's on me. But week 2 is where I shine.

For my week 2 QB i'm going with Dak Prescott. He had a relatively decent week one against the rams, and is fortunate enough to find himself playing the falcons this week. Russell Wilson was able to put up almost 32 Fantasy points against the terrible falcons defense and i anticipate that Dak putting up roughly the same.

For My week 2 Running backs, i'm going with Nyheim Hines and Derrick Henry. Hines had an impressive first game after the unfortunate injury to Mack, which now leaves just Hines and Taylor to split the backfield. The thing i liked about Hines was his 8 targets in the passing game, which he was able to turn into 8 catches for 45 yards and 1 TD, all against the jags defense. Now its Derrick Henry's turn. I feel like this pick is pretty self explanatory solely off the size of this man, BUT anyone who gets 31 carries in a game is a great play in my opinion. I expect Henry to have a Monster game against the jags weak run Defense.

My week 2 wide receivers are Amari cooper, Devante Adams, and Jameson Crowder. Amari Cooper will add a nice double up with Dak Against the weak falcons defense. In week 1, Cooper got himself 14 targets and was able to turn it into 10 catches for 81 yards. Devante Adams had an incredible week 1. he had 17 targets which he turned into 14 catches for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns. he is matched up against a weak Det. defense who allowed over 30 points to Chicago recievers. Week 1 Rodgers looked like a different animal, But the same beast. I think Devante is a no brainer in week 2. Then we have Jameson Crowder, Yes, he is hit or miss, But my man just hit against one of the top defenses in the league grabbing 7 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. with the lose of Bell for up to a few weeks, there really isn't much production anywhere else on the jets offense, i see Crowder be a cheaper, reliable option in week 2.

For my week 2 TE i'm playing Noah Fant. I'm Big on Noah Fant this year, he started to break out at the end of the 2019 Season, and i believe he is going to continue this climb. Fant against TEN had 6 targets, 5 catches for 81 yards and a TD. Fant is set to play PIT in week 2, who is ranked 24th against the pass. If Sutton sits out another week, i think this is another great matchup for Fant.

My week 2 FLEX is none other than Todd Gurley. I picked him last week and i'm picking him again. Gurley had 14 carries against SEA on Sunday and gathered 56 yards rushing and a touchdown. he also got 5 targets which he turned into 2 receptions for only 1 yard. Personally, i think he would have had an even better game if the falcons weren''t playing catch up the entire game. I don't think that will be the case week 2 against the cowboys. i think its going to be a shootout till the end and i expect Gurley to come away with even bigger fantasy numbers than week 1.

My week 2 defense could go either way. I'm going with the Bears against the Giants. One of my biggest reasons for this is because Saquon forgot how to football, so at the moment he isnt that much of a threat. Daniel Jones did look good in week 1, but i think i think the bears defense, who finished 10th against the pass last season will do a good job at holding the Giants to limited numbers. This defense could also blow up in my face but hey, that's the thrill of Gambling.
