First things first let's start with the news about James White's parents. Absolutely devastating. I can't even imagine what he is going through right now and my condolences are with him and his family.
Alright on to the pats. HOLY FUCKIN SHIT. This fuckin team man. Coming into this game I thought it would be close but not this close and no way in hell did I think we would be this close to winning. I even bet on the seahawks. Pretty much against my religion but had to tease them +2.5 with the over. Couldn't pass that up. Russ is cooking like a chef fighting for his life. If he was ever a cook I'd imagine he's one of those private chefs that cooks you things you've never even heard of before and make your taste buds explode. Seattle defense is no joke. It wasn't a joke before jamal adams and it sure as shit isn't one with jamal adams.
I was quite worried coming into this game. Cam just faced the dolphins and it might as well be a high school football team. We should've beat them and we did but this was the real test. Cam with no preseason and no training camp looked like a stud out there. Only two games in and he's as advertised. Oh did I mention he also hasn't played in over a year? Absolutely incredible. He looked calm, cool and collected out there slinging the ball like it was a freakin baseball. The guy is an absolute freak athletically. He moved the ball up and down the field. He hung in there with russell wilson exchanging blows the whole game, back and fourth and it came down to the final play.
What Josh McDaniels and Bill have done is absolutely remarkable. I am probably going to get roasted for saying this but its absolutely true. No discredit to tom and what he did in his time here but it's pretty apparent who needed who more. Now don't get me wrong I love Tommy and I will till I die for what he did for the New England Patriots and the memories he's made for me and everyone else in New England. He played his absolute heart out and is a complete psycho and did what he had to do to win 6 ships. That being said we all know Tom is no physical specimen. Cam on the other hand was made in a lab somewhere from a test tube. It is absolutely insane that Josh and Bill with limited time have redesigned this offense to be the perfect fit for Cam. It plays to his strengths and lets him do his thing. Cam can do things Tom can't and thats just a fact. Tom was like watching a new born giraffe run and Cam is like a wide receiver out there, running. It is two completely different quarterbacks and it is absolutely insane that the coaching staff has made this transition look seamless. It will remain to be seen if Cam can be as clutch as Tom. When it counted most Tom was always the guy you wanted in there. The guy had ice in his veins. It's like Ortiz, you know who you wanted up 3-2 bottom of the ninth and the ball game on the line. It was Ortiz and you knew he was going to deliver. Some people just have that clutch gene.
In the final drive Edelman dropped a TD pass. Now was it catchable? Yes it was, would I have caught it? Absolutely not. The thing was a fuckin missile and Edelman had to twist his body and then come down with it, mid air. I am not even mad about it, just shows how close it was to a win. Then on the final play at the 1 yard line with 3 seconds to go they lined up and everyone in that stadium, all 12 of them knew what was coming. And everyone at home. Cam was going to run it. Yeah he should've bounced it outside, shoulda, woulda, coulda. The seahawks should've run it in the superbowl and we know how that turned out. I love the call and will live and die by it. The best part of this, is that it's the regular season. Pats win most when it matters. Regular season don't mean shit. I mean it kinda does because you need to make playoffs but you know what I mean. Pats will make adjustments and study film. Kinda glad we did lose because what separates the men from the boys is not how many times you get knocked down but how many you get back up. Cam took full responsibility after the loss and you love to see that. He's ready to go win the next one. He hasn't pointed the finger. He's been nothing but great since he got here and I'm wondering why Bill has't signed him to a 10 year deal yet or the better question is why did no one else in the NFL sign him? Is everyone forgetting we go him for a bag of chips and an apple? Mitch Trubisky is still a starting QB in this league and no one even wanted him as their backup? Try and compete? Anyways on to Vegas. VIVA LAS VEGAS
